From polyculture to vines

Our families have always worked the land of Verdigny. We have never left this earth, our land... First of all in the service of the Lords of Verdigny, then of the cathedral of Bourges and finally for ourselves. We have always been farmers attached to their hills, their trees, their animals. Our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents walked the same hillsides that we work today.

  • Years 40 : 3 generations
  • 1950s : The Harvest in family

It was after the Second World War that our great-grandfather, Amédée Reverdy, decided to become a full-fledged winemaker. We should rather say chosen by providence. Indeed, the farm being too small to support two families, our ancestors decided to organize a draw, at the short straw... One will be a winemaker, the other will go to Paris...
My parents, Bernard-Noël and Dominique Reverdy, then took up the torch in 1974. They developed international sales, made a qualitative leap, gave the estate its current name and continued the tradition of welcoming people to the cellar that is dear to our families.

  • 1970s : Bernard-Noël Reverdy

It's rich of this heritage that we took over the reins of the estate in 2007. After a busy first professional life, as a mechanical officer in the Air Force for Benoît and in international trade for Fabienne, it was obvious for us that returning to the region of our ancestors would be the great project of our professional lives.
From the start, the objective was to promote more virtuous work, more focused on respect for nature and to pay close attention to understanding and promoting the different terroirs that make up our plots.
